Investment Focus

The Gries Family Office considers a range of asset classes for investment. We prioritize opportunities with strong underlying investment theses rather than restricting ourselves to a narrow range of investment type. Broadly, we look for proposals that fit into four categories: Real Estate, Alternative Investments, Business Acquisitions.

Real Estate

We focus on either stabilized commerical real estate assets or off-market opportunities that require capital and rehabilitation.

Alternative Investments

We will consider investment vehicles in the hedge fund and private equity space. We are agnostic as to strategy, but a clearly articulated investment thesis and significant, sustainable market advantage should be evident. Investments that can further diversify our holdings via industry sector or a unique historical correlation to the stock market are of particular interest.

Business Acquisitions

The Gries Family office is interested in existing businesses with growth potential, such as distressed or family owned companies that would benefit from added capital. Existing EBITDA of at least $500,000 is preferable. We prefer to participate with existing management. Ideally, we seek businesses in Arizona, preferably Maricopa County. However, we will consider opportunities throughout the Western US.
